Modimolle, Limpopo – [Date] – The South African energy landscape is shifting rapidly as private players step into a market long dominated by Eskom. The latest development comes from Discovery Green, which has committed to investing nearly R10 billion in large-scale solar and wind projects to supply some of the country’s biggest businesses with clean energy.
According to a recent report by BizNews, Discovery Green has secured power purchase agreements (PPAs) for the 335 MW Tournee Solar Park in Mpumalanga and the 400 MW Overberg Wind Farm, both expected to begin commercial operation in 2027.
